Firewall

Firewall
Noor-Hal Cuellar

Burnt fingers, 'cos I touched the firewall
darkness did not allow me to be aware
I felt like the sky was about to fall
my eyes closed, wishing I would not care.

Time is not on my side anymore
I was suffering, heartbroken and sore
don't worry, I'm OK, not to die for love
I've lost the way, but not the scope.

I must confess, dying to drive to the South
jump onto mountains, will I dare to climb?
to the top just to scream it, right out loud
kicking off the walls, turning back time.

Promises unkept, shining like scars
bone-tattoed, grounding to the core
bleeding letters, well kept in glass jars
empty heart not available to store.

Both of us separated by a burning firewall
fighting my weakness to speak out loud
my hard-to-hide feelings, waiting that call
expecting sunny days, when I just see clouds.

Bedshaped

I've heard this song again while watching Miss Universe 2006, but performed in Italian, by an opera singer called Vittorio whatsits. I love to play it during rainy days because it makes me cry internally, even when tears are not running through my cheeks. It talks about a slipped love, very confused feelings I could not explain further....

Bedshaped

Keane

Many's the time I ran with you down
The rainy roads of our old town
Many the lives we lived in each day
And buried altogether

Don't laugh at me
Don't look away

You'll follow me back
With the sun in your eyes
And on your own
Bedshaped
And legs of stone
You'll knock on my door
And up we'll go
In white light
I don't think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?
I know...

I know you think I'm holding you down
And I've fallen by the wayside now
And I don't understand the same things as you
But I do

Don't laugh at me
Don't look away

You'll follow me back
With the sun in your eyes
And on your own
Bedshaped
And legs of stone
You'll knock on my door
And up we'll go
In white light
I don't think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?
I know...

You'll knock on my door
And up we'll go
In white light
I don't think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?
I know...
